With the current situation, all therapy sessions are done online using Zoom. One of the most common question is “does it really work remotely?”.
The short answer is yes.
Now for the long answer.
Hypnosis is not magic. I don’t have any mystical powers that allow me to mind control other people. I wish I did so I could visit my bank manager and suggest that my mortgage can be written off… While it is a good plot device for a film or a book, it doesn’t work like that.
What about those people on stage in hypnosis shows? They are willing to participate and have fun. That’s why they got up to go on stage in the first place.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. If you’ve ever found yourself mesmerised or entranced by a crackling fire, ocean waves, or ripples in a pond, you’ve experienced it. You would have felt profoundly relaxed, lost in your thoughts, and temporarily unaware of the rest of the world. Or may be you have been engrossed in a good book, imagining people and places, experiencing a range of feelings while staring at organised ink stains on paper?
As an hypnotherapist, I’m just here to facilitate that process of hypnosis. I am bit like an interactive therapeutic audio-book, so all you need is to be able to hear me clearly. All I need is to be able to see and hear you to monitor your progress and reactions. Any device with a webcam will do: smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC.
I help you make the most of all your own resources, your own brain power and imagination, whether you need to overcome anxiety, fears, PTSD or bad habits like smoking or drinking.
So if there’s anything you want help with, just give me a shout to see how hypnotherapy can work for you.
